Our final Pre- Christmas performance was a joint Christmas concert with Sutton Bridge Gospel Choir at St Mathews Church in Sutton Bridge. By now we were well practiced with our Christmas programme, and despite the slight logistical difficulties of fitting a combined choir of nearly 70 people into limited space, once everyone was seated and warmed up, the sound that we made was really impressive.
It was the first time that we had performed a special arrangement of Jingle Bells and despite the nerves it went really well.
One of the best parts of being in the choir is the opportunity to push yourself during performance, and realising that you can reach a higher standard than you may have thought.
On top of everything our lovely audience helped us to collect over £200 which will be split between two local charities: Churchill Park School and Sutton Bridge Food Bank.
